Helping our Northern Ohio Real Estate Community grow is a passion of mine and critical to the success of Welty Development. I was excited to hear about this program forming and then asked to mentor Ariane Kirkpatrick as part of it. The entire process and growth within the cohort was incredible. I'm personally excited to see the real estate developments that come out of this program and the diverse leadership along the way. Last summer, Cleveland Development Advisors embarked on a journey to empower historically excluded real estate developers of color. We launched the Cleveland Equitable Development Initiative (CLE EDI) through intentional partnerships with Village Capital Corporation and Capital Impact Partners. Fifteen developers of color were thoughtfully chosen to be in this inaugural cohort. They have completed the CLE EDI learning series, including mentorship, and a comprehensive capstone presentation on their projects. As apart, of capstone presentations cohort members presented to panel of industry experts for a chance to be awarded predevelopment grants. Later today, we will be celebrating this cohort and announcing these awards! We are grateful to the partners, sponsors, and individuals in the real estate industry who have supported this cohort and will continue to be a resource to them throughout their careers.
