Anduril Industries recently announced plans for a large-scale production facility in Rhode Island that will enable the company to increase production to 200 Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) per year. Anduril has seen a growing demand from defense and commercial customers for its Dive-LD family of AUVs, including an $18.6 million contract with the US Navy. By investing in a scaled production facility ahead of need, Anduril will be able to rapidly scale production, stay ahead of customer demand, and deliver on orders with unprecedented speed — not to mention, create more than 100 jobs over the next five years. Anduril announced a new manufacturing facility for large scale production of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) in Quonset Point, Rhode Island to stay ahead of customer demand and deliver the Dive-LD family of AUVs with unprecedented speed. The 150,000 square foot production facility will increase production capacity for its Dive-LD family of AUVs to more than 200 hulls per year. The factory announcement comes amid growing demand from defense and commercial customers for Anduril's AUVs. The US Navy recently awarded Anduril an $18.6 million contract for an initial buy of Dive AUVs through the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU)'s Large Displacement Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (LDUUV) prototyping effort. AUVs transform maritime deterrence by providing an affordable, distributed, and adaptable undersea capability that complements the U.S. and allied submarine fleet.

To optimize both financial & materiel management and to increase asset availability, expect more buyers to start demanding access to more data about their own systems.
We had so much interest in our Autonomous Vehicle Sustainment (AVS) technology at AUSA! Moving from reactive to predictive maintenance, AVS is our Prognostic & Predictive Maintenance (PPMx) solution. It optimizes equipment performance and increases operational readiness while reducing the Army’s cost of ownership of vehicle fleets. The on-platform Health, Usage, Monitoring System (HUMS) is integrated with Next Generation Electronic Architecture to provide forward-looking, real-time Decision Actionable Logistics Information (DAI). #AUSA2023 #GDatAUSA #InnovationIsInOurDNA

Have you ever asked how a course to Certify Professionals is designed and certified? Today I feel very excited to take the Course "Online Course Development" by ICEMéxico. There is a structure of requirements necessary to be an entity that can train others and provides a level of quality security. You can also join the free 9-section event (in spanish): https://lnkd.in/e46aBy_6 I think it will be very important my development of new skills and projects at IRIS COMPANY . Where we hope to create a specialty course in the design of unmanned autonomous vehicles for specific applications in high-risk industries for their operators. #ICEMÉXICO #IRISCOMPANY #designexcellence #professionalgrowth #developmentopportunity #innovationindesign #coursecreators #UAVS #UGV #productdesign #UANL #UAEM

The ability to operate AUVs and ROVs as "resident" platforms (meaning they remain submerged for many months at a time) autonomously is challenging, due to environmental and operational challenges restricting the effectiveness of navigation sensors. Offshore survey contractor Modus Limited used Nortek DVLs to maintain navigational consistency while testing and proving resident vehicle capabilities. Successful operation of resident platforms has benefits ranging from reduced costs to reduced carbon emissions.
