Michigan Central is thrilled to announce that applications are now open for the Michigan Mobility Fellow Program (MMF), a first-of-its-kind initiative to support mobility innovation and talent attraction and retention in the state by offering real-world experience, a $60,000 annual salary, and professional development opportunities. The program is made possible through the State of Michigan, Michigan Central, Community Economic Development Association of Michigan (CEDAM) and a partnership with Wayne State University as part of their shared goal of re-establishing the state as a global leader in mobility and technology innovation. “The success of our region’s mobility sector relies on retaining and attracting talent from local and national universities,” said Clarinda Barnett-Harrison, Director of Skills at Michigan Central. “Michigan Central is committed to supporting and developing this ecosystem with robust partnerships, including with the State of Michigan so that entrepreneurs can sustain and grow their businesses in Detroit and the surrounding area.” Applications close at 11:59 p.m. on July 22, 2024. Join us for Summer at The Station, Fridays 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through August 31st! Inside, explore The Station’s renovation, its rich history, and what’s next for Michigan Central. Tours are self-guides and involve a lot of walking and standing, with limited bench seating available. Most visitors spend an average of one-hour inside The Station. Enhance your visit with our audio guide by downloading the free Smartify app. Outside, enjoy live entertainment and a variety of food trucks at our plaza in front of Newlab at Michigan Central, located right next door to The Station.    Parking and Accessibility: Visitors are encouraged to park at the Bagley Mobility Hub (1501 Wabash, Detroit, MI 48216). Parking is free during Summer at The Station hours. The Bagley Mobility Hub offers accessible parking. Roosevelt Park is a place for everyone! 🌳 This summer, come and experience all this beautiful City of Detroit-run park has to offer—take a walk along the Southwest Greenway, relax in the open spaces, or simply enjoy the vibrant community atmosphere. Don’t forget to check out The Station on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and explore the local businesses and restaurants in Corktown, and the Southwest neighborhoods.

Bring the whole family to The Kids' Zone at The Station! Kids of all ages can pick up a complimentary "color-your-own" poster to express their unique vision of The Station. Grab the “What Did You See” guide for kids to explore the exhibits, and marvel at an incredible model of The Station crafted entirely out of LEGO® by metro Detroiter Chris Leach! Starting this weekend, families can visit on Fridays 5pm to 9pm and Saturdays 10am to 5pm. Dates and times will vary throughout the summer due to holidays and events.
