International seafarers day is the biggest nonsense for the seafarers. Sorry for my language it might be harsh but as a seafarer for more then 3 decades and captain more then decades i have not seen any improvement for the seafarers from the imo, from the itf, or ocimf. There has been some improvement for accommodation spaces but it is not specific for the seafarers. World has been changed technology and ships to.But industry, imo, ocimf keep increasing work load of seafarers with new rules, new regulations and applications. ISM Systems are getting bigger and bigger. Frequency of inspections getting tighter everyday. We still stugling to get a visa from most of the countries to join or disembark from the ships. Still some of my friends are waiting to get a visa more then month and still no any news. However you guys are keep mentioning that importance of the seafarers without putting a realistic effort for seafarers. Ocimf keep tightening the inspection without considering the seafarers workload or psychological impact, such my own experience in one contract term i have made 6 ports and 6 inspections in every port including CDI/SIRE/PSC/Terminal Inspections. Means 4 months without having a step to the shore.

Today, we celebrate the dedication and hard work of seafarers worldwide. 🌊⚓️ Prevention at Sea continuously supports seafarers through our human-centered approach to services, aiming to improve safety culture and optimize onboard workload. Join us in honoring them and pledging to support a safer, more secure maritime industry.

Everybody celebrate only this day. All other days seafarers are under appreciated, treated disrespectful by some companies and even abandoned ( 132 cases in 2023 and in 2024 increase reported cases, still open 36 cases). Adding attacks on seafarers in Red Sea it is not a joyful day. Also keep in mind dear colleagues that some in the industry consider us that we have to higher wages, must pay for crew cahnges, etc. and whan to take us out from the vessels.

Thank you to seafarers across the world who keep our economy moving forward! Your commitment to a safer maritime workplace is not taken for granted and we appreciate the work you do and the sacrifices you make!

Dear Colleagues, I want to reflect on the times when I navigated through the Singapore Strait, Malacca Strait, Red Sea, and Suez safely. I also remember the occasions when I sailed in and out of the Gulf of Guinea ports/area without any incident. It's heartwarming to think back on the moments when some crew members disembarked safely and happily. As for the 25th of June, I don't have any special feelings about it. How about you?

On this special day, we express our deepest gratitude to seafarers the world over for their sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering commitment. To all seafarers out there, thank you for keeping the world connected. Here's to safe voyages, calm seas, and the endless adventures that await! 🌍🛟🥳

A moment of silence for the ones we lost through various incidents but notably the recent attacks in the Red Sea 💔. The unsung Heroes 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾… Every day should be the day of the Seafarer as the global economy moves daily because of them.

All seafeares must get easy access to all sea port area with accepting ISPS code. " Shore leave for all seafears ". Seafeares not to be counted by nation. IMO will consider the issue on the next Assembly.
