Last night, I was lucky enough to hear these truly inspirational individuals tell their stories of overcoming obstacles in traditionally male-dominated spaces. To say I walked away inspired is an under-statement. The term "vulnerability" was consistent in my mind while listening to them speak and I was reminded of the importance of embracing this within leadership roles, something I was taught by the also inspirational Jenn Lofgren CPHR, MCC, ICD.D. Over the years, we've learned that leaders who create the space for true vulnerability build psychologically safe work environments in which people feel welcome to be themselves. So why is vulnerability in leadership so crucial? It..... 1️⃣ Fosters Trust: When leaders share their challenges, uncertainties, and even failures, it humanizes them. It shows that they're not infallible, making them relatable and trustworthy. 2️⃣ Encourages Authenticity: In an environment where leaders are open about their feelings, employees feel empowered to do the same. Authenticity breeds authenticity. 3️⃣ Fosters Innovation: When individuals feel safe to express themselves, it creates a fertile ground for diverse ideas and creative problem-solving. 4️⃣ Strengthens Resilience: Vulnerable leaders acknowledge setbacks and setbacks, showing that it's okay to stumble. This builds resilience in teams, as they learn to bounce back together. 5️⃣ Enhances Employee Well-being: Knowing that their leaders care about their well-being, both personally and professionally, boosts morale and job satisfaction. Embracing vulnerability is a bold step towards fostering a culture of openness and empathy. It's a reminder that leaders are not immune to the challenges they guide their teams through. #vulnerability #leadership #humanresources

A totally necessary research in the museology. Women has been a pilar in the creation and development of the museums.
I have exciting news to share. Together with Prof. Rachel Esner, from the University of Amsterdam, I am co-editing a volume on women curators. We would love to receive your proposals. Please, share, and help us to spread the voice. Thanks!

It was a great honor to participate in the RARE Revolution Magazine REV-inar alongside an incredible panel of women who have dedicated their work to advancing the care of people with rare diseases, worldwide. Wendy Erler, Yael Weiss and Professor Lara Bloom, CNE A few excerpts from my participation: On RD Caregivers: "The impact of caregiving on women is disproportionate. The economy of care is an important issue that needs to be addressed through policies that protect women." On Women in Science: "While representation is essential, I think our (women's) presence on boards, on teams, on publications, etc., should be predicated on the expertise and the insight we bring, rather than just because we're a woman or because we're a Latin American, or because we're a minority. It's important for it to be about meritocracy and ensuring that anyone's participation is based on their capacity to add value, and that they're acknowledged for their skills and contribution to the field."
