Good morning everyone, The placement season has been started. But, the campus hiring got reduced. ♦That means the Off-Campus recruitment will be more. So, this is a wonderful opportunity for all to get a high paying job. So, what can we do? 1.Prepare a resume by highlighting your headline because the interviewer has only "7 seconds " of an average time to look into a candidate's profile. 2. Do industry oriented projects and highlight them in your resume to attract the recruiter. 3.Start networking with people who are working as the same professional you want to become. Attend alumni meet so that you can increase your chances more to get job. 4.Start preparing for interviews using "interview prep" website. 5.Focus in your soft skills.Mention them using the cases about how you learned them. 6.Include your extra curricular activities that are related to your job like workshops attended, webinars attended. ✒️Invest on yourself to improve your knowledge and skills. It will pay you high returns. ✒️When you start giving, you will be receiving. #offcampusdrive #highpayingjobs #interviewpreparation #resumedesign

New graduates looking for their first jobs have an idea of what work should be. Employers know what they want in their entry-level positions—and have ideas about what they think young people expect. This is a good, important piece from The Wall Street Journal that did the work and found out what the entry-level jobs really look like today. Some interesting takeaways. A few that struck me: 👉 New grads want clear plans for development 👉 They are more interested in their salary than, say, remote work 👉 Employers are putting increasing emphasis on communication as a skill That last point is one I recently told high schoolers at a career fair. Being able to hold a clear, engaged conversation is going to be a sought-after skill. Read more in this excellent story from Lindsay Ellis and Kara Dapena ...

College seniors always ask me when they should start looking for a job for after graduation and the answer is: RIGHT NOW! Especially if you are aiming to work for a large company. Many of these big Fortune 1000 organizations start recruiting months in advance. I know my company will extend offers 8-9 months ahead of a candidate's start date. My recommendations for this summer if you know you are going to be on the job hunt come fall: 📋 Research companies and create a list of ones you want to work with plus the roles that align with your career interests. 📜 Update your resume with any new accomplishments that you have had from your junior year and this summer. 📨 Find recruiters/campus recruiters for those companies on LinkedIn and reach out asking for a quick informational chat to learn about their opportunities. Summer is a great time to talk with campus recruiters since this is their slow season. The job search isn't just about applying to roles, but all of the prep you put into it before applying! Whether that is updating your resume, practicing interviewing, or expanding your network. This job market is no joke and you want to give yourself the best chance you can! If any of my campus recruiting peeps want to drop any other great knowledge or recommendations they have, please do so! #jobsearch #campusrecruiting #collegecareers #newgrad
