Marci Alboher’s Post

I've spent the past 15 years helping to shape the field of what is now called "encore education" -- a growing movement of higher-ed programs designed to help people navigate from to what's next in their lives with a focus on continued impact and purpose. I've been involved as an advisor/guest speaker/faculty member in many of these programs. And I'm beyond thrilled that the offerings in this space continue to expand. The most exciting new entrant in this space will take place at the Yale School of Management -- at the direction of my dear friend/colleague and mentor Marc Freedman. The chance to have this kind of time with Marc -- the visionary leader at the forefront of reinventing retirement and naming/designing new models for later life work+purpose -- is an incredible opportunity for anyone who can join. Knowing Marc and learning from him has transformed my life. And I'm so excited that he'll now be able to do this for countless others. Applications are now open for the first cohort, which will start -- in hybrid fashion -- in January of 2026. Check out Marc's post below and follow him and Yale SOM Executive Education for more details.
