I just got back from the fantastic #MSBuild conference, along with my Visa colleague Biju Abraham. After a 25-year stint at Microsoft, returning felt like a homecoming. I'm immensely proud of my former colleagues' achievements. Many highlights from MS Build caught our attention, but here are a few standout points: Copilot Studio: Creating custom co-pilots with autonomous agent capabilities has simplified the automation of complex tasks and improved workflow efficiency. Notable features such as collaborative commenting and multi-authoring enhance teamwork significantly. GitHub Copilot and Extensions: Really excited for the innovations in this space such as GitHub's extensions and private Copilot Extensions. I was delighted to personally congratulate GitHub CEO, Thomas Dohmke, on these pioneering features and am eager to see Visa's extensions enhance developer efficiency. Responsible AI Enhancements: Microsoft has bolstered its commitment to responsible AI, introducing features for ethical and unbiased AI models. This includes unified and configurable Azure content filters - a stride towards safer AI.  Copilot + PC: The latest Surface devices, equipped with Snapdragon processors and robust Neural Processing Units (NPUs) to facilitate several AI-driven experiences.  To share a few more favorites: Microsoft Fabric's new Real-Time Intelligence provides a comprehensive SaaS solution, promoting swift, data-driven decision-making for businesses, and the Phi 3 Vision Azure SLM, empowering developers to build apps that comprehend and generate content from text and images. Experiencing all these advancements as a guest has been truly exciting. This cutting-edge tool leverages generative AI to provide real-time risk scoring, significantly enhancing the detection and prevention of card enumeration attacks. For those unfamiliar, card enumeration attacks are a form of cybercrime where fraudsters use automated scripts to guess and verify credit card numbers on e-commerce sites. They systematically change payment values like the card number, expiration date, and CVV until they hit a valid combination, leading to unauthorized transactions. Myself and Biju Abraham recently had the privilege of visiting our Visa offices in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Singapore, where we had the opportunity to engage with our engineering teams. I was deeply impressed by their innovative mindset demonstrated through some of the product demos related to Gen AI. The talent and enthusiasm of these teams offer a wealth of opportunities for our value-added services, and the passion for the work they do is truly inspiring. In the evolving landscape of Payments in APAC region, these teams are staying ahead of the curve and shaping the future of payments - a testament to our VISA Principles - Customer Obsession!   The trip was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn, and grow, not to mention the chance to enjoy the delectable local cuisine and exceptional hospitality! I am eagerly looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for us and how we can continue to innovate and make a meaningful impact.   I applaud the efforts our leaders Vikram Kolar and Beng Hang Tay for the great engagement they have created at these locations. I am also immensely grateful to everyone who made this trip both possible and unforgettable and especially thankful to Santosh Achhra, Jaysheel Mehd, Mandar Amdekar, Shankaran (Shanks) Srinivasan, Bhavna Kumar. Visa recently organized our celebration of Diwali, the esteemed "Festival of Lights", across various global sites. This event symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, optimism over despair, and virtue over vice, echoing the ethos of this auspicious occasion.  We all enjoyed a showcase of native foods, dances, and history, providing a unique opportunity for employees to immerse themselves in the diverse traditions and customs associated with Diwali. The dances, performed by talented in-house artists, captured the essence of the festival with their vibrant costumes and rhythmic movements.   Events such as Diwali help foster a sense of unity and cultural understanding among our diverse workforce.
