Liverpool FC has revamped its museum for the first time in a decade, to retell the club’s story in a brand-new immersive way. Located in the heart of Anfield it’s a tribute to the legacy of the club for fans from all over the world to discover and experience the LFC story from past to the present. State-of-the-art exhibits showcase iconic moments, legendary players and illustrious achievements. The relaunch has integrated cutting-edge technology including multimedia installations to bring the history of the club to life. Jürgen Klopp has agreed to become an honorary ambassador for LFC Foundation, with his commitment to the club’s official charity continuing following his departure as Reds boss. Klopp has been a long-standing admirer and ambassador of the LFC Foundation, and has supported it in many different ways, whether it be welcoming visits to the AXA Training Centre, speaking publicly about the vital work happening every day across the Liverpool City Region or attending events to raise awareness and funds for the charity. Liverpool FC legends John Barnes, Robbie Fowler and Vladimir Smicer brought ‘Welcome to Anfield – The LFC Experience’ to Reds supporters on the Chinese mainland last week. The three former players met with fans at the Taikoo Li Chengdu shopping centre to showcase the interactive Anfield experience, which offers a range of unique opportunities such as walking through the iconic Shankly Gates and the players’ tunnel under the world-famous ‘This is Anfield’ sign. The unique, free pop-up exhibition is a collaboration between LFC and Swire Properties and allows the club to bring its amazing ‘Welcome to Anfield – The LFC Experience’ to supporters across the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong within Swire Properties’ shopping centres. The new home for Liverpool FC Women has been transformed with a brand-new, high-performance pitch at St Helens Stadium. Following devastating floods in LFC goalkeeper Alisson Becker's home state of Rio Grande do Sul, LFC Foundation are raising funds to support and provide aid to those who need it most. With the Foundation's support, Alisson is launching a one-off auction with match-worn shirts from the last match of the 2023-24 season, alongside a range of signed football boots from the squad. To celebrate the end of another incredibly successful season for LFC Foundation, we caught up with its chief executive, Matt Parish. Parish reflected on the many highlights for the charity during 2023-24, from its sold-out official legends charity match at Anfield to the release of its third social impact report, recent award wins and plans for the next campaign.
