An amazing morning spent meeting the Team GB canoeing team, courtesy of VOW Nutrition as they kick off their official partnership with Team GB for the Paris Olympics. This is the first time that Team GB has signed a sports nutritional supplements sponsor, however Vow Nutrition were identified as an ideal partner given their values and ethics. Informed Sport certification was a key factor in their choice as products are batch tested for banned substances and do not present a risk to the athletes. She is a fellow of the Institute of Food Science and Technology, and a Chartered Quality Professional. Serving over 33,000 customers across 130 countries, BRCGS is a formidable force for global brand and consumer protection. Amanda will build on this position by focussing on the integrity of BRCGS’s certification programmes to ensure that they continue to deliver outcomes that brands can trust. She will work closely with sector stakeholders, customers and our network of Delivery Partners, to make sure that BRCGS remains relevant and delivers what the industry needs. The BRCGS logo is a trusted indicator in the safety, quality and authenticity of goods and services, as well as evolving value drivers such as health, human welfare and ethical impact. Andy Holmes had a great trip to the University of South Carolina to talk with Sport Nutritionists, Athletic Administrators, Sports Medicine and Medical Directors, NIL Partner Services Manager, athletes and training students across various sports, and Gas. With the main BRCGS certification programmes now recognised under the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), Karen Betts is playing an active role in providing input into the future roadmap of global accreditation. Useful insight on Food Safety Culture from the Kris De Smet, Head of Food Hygiene at the EU Commission here at FoodWorX. He noted that BRCGS had built food safety culture requirements into its standards and used BRCGS data to reference the benefits to food businesses of adopting a framework for improvement. Following the introduction of Culture into EU Food Hygiene Regulations and Codex Alimentarius, DG SANTE will deepen their oversight next year with audits and analysis of National Authorities to evaluate its implementation.
