Useful insight on Food Safety Culture from the Kris De Smet, Head of Food Hygiene at the EU Commission here at FoodWorX. He noted that BRCGS had built food safety culture requirements into its standards and used BRCGS data to reference the benefits to food businesses of adopting a framework for improvement. Following the introduction of Culture into EU Food Hygiene Regulations and Codex Alimentarius, DG SANTE will deepen their oversight next year with audits and analysis of National Authorities to evaluate its implementation.
