Friends in the #DMV: visit the DC Public Library in #ClevelandPark by July 11 for Undesign the Redline, an interactive exhibit on #redlining and Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)'s #redline. Segregation and discrimination were baked in when we created our mortgage market. The exhibit gives powerful testimony to the enduring legacy of redlining in Washington, DC neighborhoods. Thanks to the National Fair Housing Alliance for being among the sponsors and thanks to my friend Joanne Lin Executive Director of the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs for inviting me to join her!

I'm honored to announce that I was recently appointed to the National Housing Conference Board of Governors. A storied institution, NHC was founded during the Great Depression with support from Eleanor Roosevelt and has been at the forefront of every major housing policy effort since the original National Housing Act of 1934.
