Here are some highlights from the panel session of our first flagship event - ‘Unapologetically Brilliant: Women’s Thunder in STEM’: 💻 Geetha Manjunath, Founder, CEO, and CTO at Niramai Health Analytix spoke about the lack of women who choose STEM as a career option and the difficulties she faced as a woman in STEM. She said “I was one out of the two women in a class of 120”. 📈 Radhika Ghai, Founder and CEO at kindlife.in who was also the first woman founder of a unicorn in India spoke about her journey and how she set up ShopClues. She mentioned a few instances where she faced gender based discrimination.She said “One very large investor kept looking at my male co-founder, despite me being the one who knew the numbers and unit economics”. 🏦 Devita Saraf, Founder and Chairperson of Vu Televisions spoke about how many people underestimated her business as it was women-owned and how her hard work and numbers eventually proved them wrong. Such an important lesson. When you say “no” you’re drawing a boundary. It makes you strong and keeps you safe. And when you raise your standards you’re standing up for your convictions. People will gaslight you saying your attitude is all wrong. 😑 Don’t listen to them. Be kind, be compassionate, but be strong and safe, with integrity.
