This weekend I had the chance to, once again, be part of the Destination Imagination #DI competition for the US Gulf Coast Regional Tournament. I was appraiser for the engineering challenge 2023-2024 where elementary school kids demonstrated their ability to plan and improvise, manage stress, present their work in a compelling manner, and be resourceful. Watching these young champions of creativity, I was reminded of the purest qualities of human potential—camaraderie, perseverance, and resilience. These are the very traits that, as we journey through life, can sometimes dim within us. Yet, here, in the heart of competition, they shone brightly in each child, teaching us all invaluable lessons. The skills and values demonstrated by these children are the same ones that will propel organizations and societies to new heights. This week I had the opportunity to represent the Shell Hydrogen Technology Deployment Team in the International Conference on Hydrogen Safety 2023, organized by #HySafe in Quebec City, Canada 🇨🇦 https://lnkd.in/eEG_JYdQ I presented the white paper titled ‘Design for Reliability and Safety: Challenges and Opportunities in Hydrogen Mobility Assets’ describing the approach that our organization applies to the development and deployment of hydrogen mobility technology. Structured around Systems, Reliability and Safety Engineering it comes as a result of years of experience in working with suppliers, partners and customers focusing on bringing to the industry safer, more reliable, and yet affordable technology. It was great to walk the audience through the challenges we have faced so far, and even more rewarding I would say, was unveiling the opportunities that lie ahead of us as a relative young industry. Opportunities that can be realized through collaboration, leadership and commitment among players such as government agencies , companies, and institutions. As part of the development team for this project I feel proud of this achievement and the impact it will have for Shell in improving the efficiency of its Hydrogen distribution network. A small step towards a cleaner future.

#spareparts availability are usually on the top list of downtime contributors from equipment packages to entire assets.
