As it stands, by the end of the year I will have spoken at conferences in 3 capital cities around the world. At the beginning of 2024 I had only spoken in 1. 2024 has been the year where I was able to really grow as a speaker, its given me opportunities that I have never had before and I am super excited to announce some of the talks I have in diary for later in the year.

This week I had the honour of speaking at DevSum about Neurodiversity in tech, I had some lovely feedback on how much people enjoyed it which meant a lot to me. It just so happened at the same time Taylor Swift was performing in Stockholm so after snapping up a ticket, myself and a few other of the speakers headed to the Friend's arena to 'Shake it up'

Happy Global Accessibility Day The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion, and the more than One Billion people with disabilities/impairments. (taken from https://accessibility.day/) For me personally, accessibility matters because it lets everyone, no matter their abilities, use and enjoy all kinds of services and resources. As part of Global Accessibility Day I am actually in Sweden today talking about Neurodiversity in Tech, specifically about how we can make working in tech more accessible to neurodivergent individuals. The linked image is actually used on my last slide and it shows the curb cut effect, which is where when we improve accessibility for those who need it, we actually improve things for everyone, in this case dropping curbs on streets benefits those in wheelchairs but also helps parents pushing push chairs, delivery drivers pushing parcels etc. This underscores how accessibility actually helps everyone. https://lnkd.in/eGzX3w4p
