As the newest executive sponsor of the Kimberly-Clark African Ancestry Employee Network, I can hardly express how proud, impressed, and energized I am from the Juneteenth celebration that took place at our Chicago office. We opened our doors to 16 Black-owned businesses that showcased their impeccable skills and talents while over 150 K-C employees showed their unwavering support of diversity, equity and inclusion by engaging in cross cultural conversations, reflecting on the historical importance of the day and of course, opening their pocketbooks. Small businesses are the heartbeat of America so what better way to show our support and appreciation than to promote economic development within the local community. This commitment to building a better culture internally and a better world externally has truly made me proud to call myself a K-C leader. Congratulations to Christine Marcus-Johnson, Anthony Marshall, Kari Brown, Kenyata Martin, and the other leaders who made this happen! #WeAreKC #ItStartswithYOU
