Interesting point to note about synthetic essential oils being used in foods. It's crucial to be aware that these oils are chemicals brewed in a lab and not extracted from the plant. #FoodIndustry #SyntheticOils

Another day, another private equity disaster. As someone who has recruited and worked with many individuals in this space, it's disheartening to see so many talented professionals left disillusioned and displaced after years of hard work. It's clear that the current model of buyouts is serving only a select few, leaving many to question the true value of their sweat equity. However, I believe it's important to remain optimistic and to seek out success stories in the private equity space. Have you heard of any inspiring examples of private equity done right? I'm eager to learn about any companies or individuals who have found success through this model, so I can recalibrate my perceptions and continue to support those who are making a positive impact in the industry. Let's open up a dialogue and share our knowledge and experiences. Together, we can work towards creating a more equitable and sustainable future for private equity.

This is an amazing piece of wisdom. We choose what we allow in as our truth.

They say "Feedback is a gift" and I agree...but not for the reasons "they" say. Feedback is a gift because it's ALWAYS useful to know how you are viewed by others, especially decision-makers. My recommendation for receiving feedback is to put it in one of these four buckets: 👎🏾Behavior Change: "That's not how I intended to be viewed. I'm gonna reflect on what actions I can take so how I'm viewed is in alignment with what I intend." 👎🏾Image Change: "That's not how I intended to be viewed. What can I do to place my actions more in context and communicate better so others understand the mindset behind the moves I'm making?" 👌🏾Necessary Sacrifices: "Good! I'm glad you see me that way. If the cost of my pure authenticity is you seeing me that way, I'll pay that price easily." 👌🏾Full Alignment: "Great! How I'm viewed is in full alignment with my intention. All is well with the world. 🧘🏾♀️ Yes, yes...I know many of you will say... "Tasha I don't care what others think of me." I fully support that if that's how you truly feel. I will say, I use it as ONE data point of my growth. At the end of the day, I'm coexisting with other people in this world and my impact on others matters to me. And my leadership advancement and evolution doesn't happen in a vacuum; it's dependent on others and their experience so there's that. I look forward to YOUR thoughts on how you handle professional feedback. 😁 Image Credit 📸: The Good Quote on Instagram Image Description: Picture quote with black lettering on pink background that says "Never internalize feedback that fundamentally makes you unsure of who you are. Yes, be teachable and always look out for ways to improve but understand that not everyone is qualified to provide you with the quality of feedback that's relevant to your growth."

Absolutely the best advice I could give anyone. Goes to the foundation of change and transitions.
Life can be unpredictable and full of surprises. You may encounter difficulties that seem insurmountable, and it may feel like everything is conspiring against you. However, it's essential to remember that challenges and obstacles are a natural part of life's journey, and in many instances, they are not always negative. In fact, they can be opportunities for growth and self-discovery. When you encounter challenges, it's easy to become discouraged and lose hope. However, it's crucial to keep in mind that every obstacle that comes your way may be placed there for a reason. It may seem like an inconvenience, but it could also be an opportunity for growth and learning. It's important to appreciate the unexpected turns that life takes. Closed doors, detours, and roadblocks may seem like setbacks, but they can be opportunities for growth and self-discovery. Embrace these challenges and keep pushing forward, and you'll emerge stronger and wiser than ever before. Yes Mam this us so true nothing replacing the true intimacy of human sensory touch. I lead women’s groups on change and they relish their personal time together and savor each moment.
Our first podcast series kicks off with an interview with acclaimed psychotherapist Esther Perel. The topic for this first series is “Living Beyond Human Scale: The Possibilities, the Costs, and the Role of Community.” This series will be unique in that it crosses over between Unlocking Us and Dare to Lead, with discussions ranging from mental health and social media to readying a workforce (and a bunch of anxious humans) for AI. Also, rather than dropping two podcasts every week, I’ll be recording short series of 3-4 thematic podcasts that will drop several times over the course of the year. You can now listen to the new podcasts and our entire library anywhere you listen to podcasts — we’re no longer exclusive to one platform. I’d love to know what you think about the convo and any other questions you have around staying connected while living beyond human scale. Podcast comments are open on brenebrown.com ❤️ https://lnkd.in/gpC3iMdJ
