Today, the Lattice People Platform is making the concept of ‘AI employees’ a reality with official employee records for digital workers. 🤯 🤯 🤯 Lattice will be the first integrated HR platform to enable teams to onboard, train, evaluate, and even manage their AI-powered digital workers. Getting to work on this project has been mind-bending, challenging, exciting, fulfilling and a moment in my career that I am extremely proud of.

Today marks a significant change as I begin working from home without my beloved co-worker by my side for the first time since the pandemic began. Eight weeks ago, our 5-year-old pup, Ruby, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. As an extrovert navigating remote work, having Ruby close by (literally never more than a few feet away) brought a unique sense of fulfillment to my days. This period has been incredibly tough, underscoring the value of working with colleagues you genuinely enjoy. The unwavering support from my Lattice team, partners and leaders throughout this challenging time has left me profoundly grateful. Thank you will never be enough for all of the comfort and grace they have given me. As I embark on this new chapter, I'm challenging myself to explore new workspaces in Denver. Shouting this from the rooftops: Find an org that never stops investing in it’s people. 📣 Yesterday, I participated in Lattice's Leadership Program called Manager Blueprint. Our L&D team brings leaders at similar levels from across the business to learn together. Our cohort includes leaders from the People, EPD, IT, and GTM orgs. Having been a people manager for over 5 years, it would’ve been easy to think this ‘just be would be a whole day away from my team’ for a training that I’ve probably already had. I have never been more pleased to be completely wrong. Biggest benefits: ✅Walking away with brand new cross functional partners I never would have met in my day to day schedule ✅Having the space to talk about how to be an effective and supportive manager in a tough economic environment ✅Walking away with immediate actions I can implement to better support growth on my team ✅ Getting an ongoing accountability buddy who I plan to chat with weekly about successes and areas of opportunity in our growth as leaders A huge shoutout to Mollie West Duffy and Kelsey Poleyeff for creating a comfortable sharing space and building fantastic content. Sales Dev: Report to marketing or sales? It's the age-old question. 💡 Exciting changes this week at Lattice, as the SBDR team reporting lines shifted from Marketing to Sales. Reflecting on this switch, here's my thinking: 1. There's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to where Sales Dev should report. As Sarah Franklin wisely shared this week, the key is finding the org structure that works perfectly for your company and your goals. 2. While initially aligned with marketing at Lattice, the move to Sales doesn't weaken our partnerships. GTM alignment at the top of the funnel remains crucial. Collaborating with marketing partners has been invaluable in driving strong programs and growth. We won't be slowing this down - Rachel Sadacca and our DG/MOPS team couldn't get rid of me, even if they wanted to 😉 3. I've been asked throughout my career if I have a preference for sitting under sales or marketing - the truth? I really don't. The most important asset for Sales Dev leaders is having leadership that understands the value of the function and supportive cross-functional partners. I am extremely grateful for the incredible support and shared vision with our CMO Elizabeth Walton Egan that brought me to Lattice. But the vision has also always been shared with our sales and revops leaders through close collaboration in order to enhance the impact of pipeline generation efforts. This shift brings minimal day-to-day changes - in the best possible way! Our focus remains on strengthening pipeline generation efforts and talent development. 🏋♀️ Excited to continue elevating this function under the leadership of Tessa del Rio. Teaching business acumen 💼 Investing in growing a seller's business acumen is key in the competitive tech selling market, especially for early-career sellers. Yesterday at Lattice, we wrapped up our first ever rep-level QBRs with the SDRs and BDRs. Reps benefited from: - A thorough review of their quarterly work - Training on SFDC report analysis for self-assessment - Recognition of achievements and areas for enhancement - Valuable insights from leadership's daily reports This initiative offered leaders: - Visibility into successful reps' behaviors - Identification of workflow obstacles - Direct understanding of currently resonating market messaging from the frontlines Bonus: This was a very smooth way for Gabrielle “GB” Blackwell to understand the current state of her team as she onboards and builds coaching plans. I am a big fan of practical experiences that drive continuous learning and development while enhancing day-to-day skills.
