Middle lane leadership, performance, goals, and life. Just cruzing along in the middle lane of life. Nothing is going horrible, nothing is going excellent, things are just going. And yet you feel like something is missing, or you can't seem to get consistent in working towards your goals, or you feel like there should be more in life, or you see others excelling in their lives and can't seem to push yourself to your version of excellence. Life just is happening. Sound familiar? Yeah, me too. And without realizing it, when I gave up alchohol 3 years ago my life sped into the fast lane and has stayed there. I've accomplished more in these 3 years then I have my entire adult life, and no, I'm not exaggerating. From my mental health, physical health, daily routines, productivity, clarity, ideas, goal achievement, personal and professional learning and growth, relationships, and the list goes on. While I quit drinking for my health, I could've never imagined all the other benefits I would gain in my life. it wasn't easy at first, but it isn't even a glimmer of a thought now. Never-ending tiredness...exhaustion...non-functional... I want to share a personal story with you. Some of you know this about me, but for years, I felt like I was running on empty, and I was at a loss as to what was going on. Over time, every time I had a drink, it was like pouring sludge into an already sluggish system. I was knocked out for DAYS - It was a vicious cycle of exhaustion and discomfort that I couldn't shake off. Turns out, I have Hashimoto's, an autoimmune condition that was wreaking havoc on my system. Eliminating alcohol from my life was one of the best decisions I made for my health. Slowly, with the combination of being alcohol-free and shifting my diet, I began to feel balanced and human again. 🌟 So, in honor of my amazing daughter’s 21st birthday this weekend, me celebrating with her alcohol-free (me, not her 😁) and my journey to feeling like a human again, I want to share with you 10 easy mocktail recipes. Why, as grown ass adults, do we still find ourselves feeling like we have to go with the "norm", even when it doesn't support our personal well-being? Choosing to be alcohol free was a very personal choice that I was extremely uncertain of making. It started with my health and simply wanting to feel better. But as time went on, I realized how harmful alcohol was to every aspect of my life. I began to see: ✅️ My presence in my relationships increase ✅️ My daily focus skyrocket ✅️ My sleep become more consistent ✅️ My mind gain clarity ✅️ My patience and ease for life's challenges grow ✅️ My health improve ✅️ My consistency in healthy habits suddenly became easier Honestly, this list could go on for days. ✨️ And in reflection, looking back as I share this today, the amount of personal growth, learning, and achievement I've experienced in the past 3 years is more than I've experienced my entire life. Being alcohol free has allowed me to focus on the small, daily habits and moments that has had a cumulative positive and transformative effect in the quality of my life. And THIS is far better than the perceived benefit I told myself drinking alcohol had on my life. #alcoholfreelife #womenshealth #personaldevelopment
