Some more updates on my TikTok Live experience. Yesterday, I went live (again, packing boxes and interacting with commenters) for 45 minutes. Four new purchases and some similar data.
Some new learning ->
Viewership fluctuates every 10 minutes or so. An initial bump going live then levels out, then TT re-pushes you in algo to see who latches, rinse and repeat.
Active people (commenting, liking, purchasing) in the prior live get notifications that I'm live again.
Average watch time over a shorter period to the launch day Live was very similar (13s vs 14s), same thing goes for average viewer count (256 vs 261)
The folks who returned from the prior Live, specifically the ones that purchased, were VERY active in the chat. Asking questions, guiding conversation, and acting as conduits for new purchases (showing excitement, talking about quick delivery, how they were going to use the product).
More testing to come but it's becoming clear this is an important avenue for us early.
