🌟 Exciting developments in sustainable transport!   Gothenburg is once again taking a leading role in the green transition with a project aiming to support the transition of the boating industry through electrification. This innovative initiative, a collaboration between Sweden and Norway, will establish over 400 charging points for electric boats along the coast from Gothenburg to Kristiansand in Norway. 🔌 🚤   The go:LEIF project highlights the region's commitment to sustainable transport and green innovation. By focusing on smart technology and sustainable business models, Gothenburg and its partners are setting the standard for the future of recreational boating. This project not only supports the reduction of CO2 emissions but also promotes the use of renewable energy sources.   Key objectives of the project include: ✔ Increasing interest and knowledge in electric boating among ports, municipalities, and boat enthusiasts. ✔ Providing testbeds for developing and demonstrating new charging infrastructure. ✔ Strengthening regional business and technology development in electric mobility. ✔ Conducting research to support the sustainable growth of electric boating.   The project is already making significant strides, having recently launched a super fast charger in Lysekil on the Swedish west coast and established both public and homeport charging stations in two Gothenburg marinas.   The green transition demands collaboration, and in Gothenburg, we are masters of collaboration. 🌟 West Swedish Life Science actors lead European initiative for precision medicine! 🌟 Sahlgrenska Science Park and Business Region Göteborg have taken leading roles in the prestigious PRECISEU project together with Region Västra Götaland and Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset University Hospital. The mission is to connect innovation ecosystems across Europe to efficiently advance towards truly personalized healthcare. The PRECISEU project focuses on solving challenges in data management, business models, patient involvement, and ethical, legal, and social issues. Through this initiative, funded with a total of €22.7 million (half from Horizon Europe), the goal is to promote and accelerate the possibilities for truly personalised healthcare. 📣 The Yard is expanding and moving to new premises – opening in January 2025! 🎉 Intensive renovations are currently underway at Utrustningsverkstaden on Lindholmen. The historical shipyard building, owned by Älvstranden Utveckling AB, is undergoing a significant transformation to become Gothenburg's leading tech arena for startups.   The Yard Lindholmen, currently located at Valdemar Noréns gata 12, will remain on Lindholmen but significantly expand its facilities. With an impressive area of 1,700 sqm for workshops and 2,150 sqm for offices and coworking spaces, the new facility will offer tech-driven companies the opportunity to benefit from expanded workshop areas and more office spaces. The relocation is scheduled after the turn of the year and aims to strengthen the region's role as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. For the second year in a row, the Talent City Index Sweden report shows that younger Swedish talents prefer to live and work in Gothenburg 🙌   📈 Gothenburg is Sweden's most attractive city for today and tomorrow's skilled labour, the report states, ahead of Stockholm, followed by Malmö and Gotland. In the categories of family friendliness, quality of life and sustainability, Gothenburg ranked ahead of Stockholm.   The study is based on interviews with 3,500 students and skilled professionals between the age of 20 and 45. Most of them work in shortage occupations. The report is produced by Future Place Leadership, a Stockholm-based consultancy company.   "This year's results show that last year's outcome was not a coincidence. Young, well-educated Swedes really want to work and live in Gothenburg.
