Choose Peace this holiday weekend. The 4th of July is typically a dangerous weekend for gun violence. While most of the city enjoys time off with family and friends, our street outreach workers, FLIP Peacekeepers, and victim advocates are still hard at work canvassing the community and mediating conflicts to help keep the peace and everyone safe. We are grateful for these dedicated frontline workers! Happy 4th Everyone! #choosepeace #endgunviolence

Gun violence is the leading cause of death in the U.S.--over motor vehicles and cancer. People are scared to leave their homes and fear they will lose a loved one. This is part of the ripple effect gun violence has on society at large. Gun violence is a public health crisis that deserves a public health solution. Community violence intervention is part of that solution. https://lnkd.in/ez4BUZ7U teny oded gross Communities Partnering 4 Peace (CP4P) Metropolitan Peace Initiatives #SupportCVI #endgunviolence

Thank you for the book and conversation Cobe Williams and Josh Gryniewicz.
Storyteller | Award-winning Writer | Narrative Strategist | Bestselling Author | Co-author, INTERRUPTING VIOLENCE
Thank you to teny oded gross and the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago for hosting a Book Talk on INTERRUPTING VIOLENCE with Cobe Williams tonight. Mr. Gross, who has over 30 years in violence prevention work, described our book as "a gift to the movement" with an "authentic voice" that felt like a conversation. Appreciate everyone who came out tonight to discuss the work and celebrate the book.
