Last night, the Respect State Housing Laws Act passed out of the House Financial Services Committee and will next head to the House floor. This important bill makes clear that the temporary, federal notice-to-vacate requirement instituted under the CARES Act ended, returning eviction policies back to states and localities.

Renovated Community of the Year (renovation completed 2023 or later) Nomination Fee: $25 This category recognizes a recently substantially renovated community that exhibits excellence in property value, quality, service, and overall operations. Apartmentalize 2024 was a huge success! We had a great representation of Idaho in Philadelphia. Huge shoutout to our board members that joined us at this years conference, Len Galus, Sandy Thrash, Angee Jensen, and Daniel Isaac, ARM®. Special thanks as well to the Idaho Roundhouse team for representing Idaho! Jodi Rossi, Ashley O'Brien, Sandy Thrash and Brittany Hart We had great committee meetings early in the week, culminating in our Region 7 Vice President elections for 2025. Congratulations to Tommy Zauder & Sheri Druckman, CAPS for being elected to represent Region 7. Lastly, another congratulations goes out to our Maintenance Legends winner Teagan Hyer with Investment Property Group (IPG). It was such a cool moment to see our Maintenance Legend represent Idaho on the main stage! Looking forward to doing this all over again in Vegas next year!

The Idaho Apartment Association went to Capital Hill last week for National Apartment Association (Naahq) Advocate. Len Galus, Sandy Thrash and Tyler Wolters were able to meet with Idaho Representatives and Senators to discuss multiple bills that could help speed up the Housing Choice Voucher process, and lower barriers on developments, increasing the housing supply!
