These impressive 26m CTVs are fitted with CJR flow-aligned rudders for optimal efficiency. We've helped to achieve reduced fuel consumption and emissions – with class leading speed of over 30 knots, 25T of bollard push, guaranteed transfer height of over 2mHs, with low seasick levels due to reduced heave, pitch and roll, and impressive fuel burn performance. Scheduled for operations in European waters from July 2024 onwards, both vessels will be carrying out crew transfers in Europe, often in higher waves resulting in less down time, increased efficiency, increased power generation and increased profits. https://lnkd.in/ensHQ7gz #workboat #ctv #windfarm #windfarmengineer #offshoreengineer #strategicmarine #mainprizeoffshore

Another milestone charter secured - as the U.S Flag Jones act Atlantic Breeze started to mobilise to the U.S. NE coast for offshore wind! The back deck of Atlantic Wind is being pulled up in readiness for a major fit out by charterers …. Installation of a full WROV spread , comprehensive survey package , accommodation units to increase capacity for 30+! This is all in conjunction with the brand new high power HPU on deck powering the newly installed 40 ton A frame, 50 ton winch and 7.5T knuckleboom crane. This is the next ship from Atlantic Oceanic LLC to mobilise into offshore wind in the U.S. NE! A complex mobilisation but evidence that the repurposed GOM O&G Jones Act fleets can be utilised in offshore wind in the U.S, employing American crews and using American shipyards to prepare. Here’s to wishing the team on board a smooth mobilisation and transit to Virginia ! #USoffshorewind #ATLANTICOCEANIC

New CoreMarine #whitepaper ‘At breaking point: #mooringline integrity for floating #offshore assets’ is available now! https://lnkd.in/g2X6AiSy Should you read it? The answer is yes (tip: the answer is always yes) if you can imagine the following scenario… 📱You are startled awake by your phone ringing at 3am. It’s the offshore installation manager calling from your company’s asset, which has been hit by a storm. Your asset seems to be drifting, threatening the integrity of the risers. What do you do? 💻This is a nightmare scenario for asset owners and operators, but it’s surprisingly common. Fortunately, you’re prepared. You login to #CoreIntegrity to access the asset’s secure #digitaltwin. It is feeding live data from sensors on the offshore platform. ⛈️The #OIM offshore has access to the same data and you both review the system together. You review the system alarm and check the metocean conditions directly. This IS an extreme storm, maybe even exceeding the design conditions. ⚓You quickly bring up the vessel motions and see that it’s staying inside the design excursion envelope. You then check the #mooringsystem. Sigh of relief: all lines are still intact. As you check the catenary of each mooring line in real time, you notice something looks strange with line three. 💨You dive deeper, checking the historical loads on each line. While the storm now seems to be subsiding, you can see that 10 minutes before the OIM called, one mooring cluster experienced extreme loads. Analysing the mooring line catenaries, it looks like the line three drag anchor was dragged a further five metres during the extreme load. ✔️You check the system design limits and even with the anchor movement, the asset remains secure. The OIM confirms that the storm is passing and no extreme weather is expected for the next week. However, you want to get the shifted anchor position confirmed for all potential conditions. You raise a support ticket within the system. The new anchor positions will be analysed and within 48 hours, you’ll know whether this is something that needs to be rectified or whether the system is perfectly ok with the new anchor position. 😴You say goodbye to the OIM and fall soundly back asleep, knowing that between your great crew + CoreIntegrity, your asset is in safe hands. Read the paper and learn more about CoreIntegrity: https://lnkd.in/g2X6AiSy #CoreMarine #offshoreasset #FPSO #mooringlinefailure #sensordata #machinelearning #realtimeanalysis #storytime #thefutureisfloating

Passionate about helping industry manage weather and climate challenges. JBA are a world leader in flood risk management and data, and environmental engineering including de-risking offshore wind projects
Modelling the installation of #offshorewind projects in different parts of the world, we get to see the varied metocean conditions installers have to compete with. I personally find it fascinating how much it changes in between countries and regions, and the dramatic impact it has on cost and duration. So to start the week I thought I'd put out a little quiz...can you guess which chart represents the East coast of Scotland? The charts show, for three different countries, the modelled installation durations using #ForeCoastMarine, if the installation were to start on different months of the year. The blue and orange bars represent two different installation strategies with jack up barges or heavy lift vessels. I could not get this image in a poll, so if you want a guess and are feeling confident put your answer in the comments, and have a great week. From the ForeCoast Marine team at JBA Consutling.
