Caitlin and Logan attended Findlay Market PRIDE yesterday evening. Thank you to all who stopped by to learn about HealthSource and our growing HIV Outreach program. We had a blast making fun and colorful crafts - bracelets, necklaces, temporary tattoos, and stickers!

Standing on the roof of the White House 16 years ago for the installation of a 28-foot AIDS ribbon remains one of my most profound memories. The display was a tribute to our nation's commitment to fight HIV. Year after year, through four administrations, that emblem has graced the White House, signifying bipartisan support in our battle against HIV, which continues today. Now, as Congress weighs potentially deep cuts in funding for crucial HIV programs, the urgency for action couldn’t be clearer. We must move beyond remembrance to resolute action. Action is exactly what we're seeing from 40 companies who have joined forces in the Health Action Alliance's U.S. Business Action to End HIV. From Walmart to Uber, Match Group to Mercer, these companies are leading efforts on HIV education, expanding access to prevention and treatment, advancing policy, and launching innovative collaborations—all with the goal of ending the HIV epidemic in the U.S. It was extraordinary to hear Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House Director of National AIDS Policy Harold Phillips and Acting CDC Director for HIV Prevention Dr. Robyn Neblett Fanfair recognize our member companies' impact in the effort to end the epidemic. Innovation has the power to transform lives - turning hope into reality. For HIV, innovation has taken us from a time when individuals needed to take so many pills that they often had to set alarm clocks to remember to take them, to a world where people can take one tablet or have an injection to help manage the virus in the way that works best for them. Since 2010, we’ve seen new HIV diagnoses drop by 38%, but with over 39million people currently living with HIV (for context – Canada has a population of 38.7million) - we are far from being ‘done.’ At @ViiVHealthcare our mission is to leave no person with HIV behind and key to that is the voice of the community – what do they want and need? In this article – in collaboration with @CNNInternationalCommercial – I talk with @BabafemiTaiwo from @NorthwesternUniversity about progress made so far, what’s next for HIV innovation and how #WeWontStop until we #EndTheEpidemic. https://lnkd.in/exV8mWZP
