#UK: Groupe Qair acquires a majority stake in Northacre Renewable Energy Ltd (NREL). NREL is a company established to deliver the Northacre #EnergyfromWaste facility in Westbury, Wiltshire.  Qair aims to provide an outlet for 243,000 tons per year non-recyclable residual fraction of the waste by completing the development of the NREL #EfW project, which will also generate up to 24 megawatts (MW) of sustainable base load electricity in the near future. Following the purchase of the Centre for Horsham Energy Recovery (CHER) project in Horsham in September 2022, this transaction marks Qair’s second acquisition of an Energy from Waste project in the UK. #Spain: Qair sponsors and participates in a duathlon in Villarejo-Periesteban (Castilla–La Mancha)      🏃♀️🚴♂️ This event gathered approximately 78 athletes who competed in a challenging race consisting of a 5-kilometer run, a 23-kilometer bike ride, and a final 2.5-kilometer run.     Despite adverse weather conditions necessitating route adjustments, the event was a resounding success, with all participants completing the demanding course.     Following the race, Qair's Inigo Viani DesplatsRedier and Alicia Gonzalez-Pola Alfaro, alongside local authorities, presented the prizes to the triumphant athletes.    🌬️☀️ Qair is currently developing three hybrid wind and solar photovoltaic projects in the region, a cornerstone of which is seamless integration with the local environmental and social landscape.    #renewableenergy #windenergy #solarenergy #energytransition

#France: What a sporting weekend for Groupe Qair!    Last week, our French teams represented Qair’s colours at two major sporting events in the #renewableenergy sector:    ⚽️ Qair won the #Footéolien 2024 tournament!       Organised by France renouvelables, this year's event brought together more than 1,900 participants from #windenergy companies for a total of 124 teams.     🚲 Represented by Damien Charreton and Emmanuel Dallery, Qair also took part in the 7th edition of the Renewable Energies World Race which gathered 730 cyclists across 84 teams.     Congratulations to Damien who arrived in 3rd place in his category 👏     These events were a great opportunity for our coworkers from various agencies to get together for a moment of sport and sharing!    #MondialDesENR #RenewableEnergiesWorldRace #teambuilding  

#Italy: Groupe Qair secures its first financing in the Peninsula and reaches new milestones in the development of its activities    ☀️ At the beginning of May, the financing of Qair’s first solar park in Italy was signed with the Groupe Crédit Agricole.     🤝 This financing was made possible thanks to the Crédit Agricole Italia and France teams, our advisor BonelliErede, and our teams at Qair in Italy.    ✅ The 8 MW power plant will be commissioned over the coming months in Marrubiù, Sardinia and will add to our existing 12.5 MW wind farm in Piedmont.    In addition, our Italian team is diligently preparing to launch the construction of 100 MW of authorized solar projects between 2024 and early 2025.
