We have some wonderful news: RStudio is now Posit! 🎉 Our name changed. Our mission stayed the same. We continue to be inspired by the millions of individuals and thousands of teams around the world that use RStudio to make a lasting impact in their communities and organizations. Over the last few years, we ruminated on how we can better enable and support the changing needs of our customers and community. The result is our rebrand to Posit. We’re thrilled that we found a name that we think so accurately captures what people do with our tools and we’re excited to make our broader mission more clear to the outside world. 🤔 What does this mean for Posit’s open-source and commercial software? In many ways, nothing. We are merely changing our name to reflect what we are already doing. We have been supporting multiple languages for many years, and will continue to create open-source and professional software for R, Python, and beyond. That said, over the past few years we've already been investing in supporting multiple languages and you can expect to see continued focus on multi-language support in the future. Our popular open-source IDE will continue to be called RStudio IDE (and you can download it directly on posit.co). All the resources you’ve come to know and love will still be available, like cheat sheets and instructional videos. Our professional products have supported Python for over 3 years. We will rename them to Posit Connect, Posit Workbench, Posit Package Manager, Posit Cloud, and Posit Academy, so it’s easier for folks to understand that we support more than just R. ☺️ So why the change? The change is about underlining our commitment to open source. Put simply: we believe that individuals, teams, and enterprises who have access to incredible open-source tools can impact the world around them positively, regardless of their economic means. So, while many things will stay the same, our rebrand will still result in changes beyond a new name. To start, our new website posit.co is now live. Please check out our new home and let us know what you think! The exciting thing is we’re just getting started. We plan to release many more incredible tools for data scientists who love R and Python. And, like always, we’ll need your help. Try our stuff, give us feedback, and continue to help people understand their worlds better with open-source data science. Finally, you have been with us on this journey as RStudio, and we are incredibly grateful for the tremendous support and faith you placed in us. We are looking forward to working with you and supporting you for decades to come as Posit.

Same DNA, New Name. We are excited to announce that we are rebranding RStudio, PBC as Posit, PBC in October! We chose Posit as the new name of the company because it is a real word describing what our customers do - They put forward ideas and critically analyze them. Our CEO, JJ Allaire, wrote a blog post further outlining why now was the right time for RStudio to rebrand. You can read that post here: https://lnkd.in/dw2qkeVE Over the last few months, we have poured our hearts into creating a brand that would accurately depict who we are. We believe the new brand identity better reflects our mission to become an open-source software company for data science, scientific research, and technical communication. We are not changing our name because we are changing what we are doing. We are changing our name to reflect what we are already doing. We are excited to see the heights we will achieve together, and look forward to sharing that moment with everyone in the company and our community. Eager for more information? Yes, you can use Python 🐍 with RStudio Team! Looking forward to this talk by Xu Fei and Gagandeep Singh at rstudio::conf on July 28th. RStudio PBC provides many ways for data science teams using #python (as well as #rstats) to scale, secure and sustain their work with our professional products. In this talk, Xufei and Gagandeep from our Solutions Engineering team will present an end to end data science use case including automated jobs, model training and monitoring, APIs, and interactive dashboards, entirely built and deployed in Python with RStudio Pro products. With RStudio Team, you can: 🔎 Do great data science work and discover insights, in your IDE of choice (the RStudio IDE, Jupyter, or VSCode) 📊 Share and schedule Jupyter Notebooks, or deploy and scale interactive Python content via Dash, Streamlit, Bokeh, FastAPI, and other popular Python frameworks 🧱 Smoothly manage your PyPI packages for development and production. 🤝🏼 Collaborate closely with your colleagues using R, making your bilingual team more productive. See the first comment for links to the talk and other resources. This talk will be live streamed 📺 for free , just like all the other talks coming up at rstudio::conf.

An essential piece of championing #datascience at your organization is the ability to talk to your IT stakeholders, and we at RStudio's Solutions Engineering team are there for you! As part of our data science champions site, we have put together an excellent resource to aid you in those conversations. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/eh_CYBp3

Come work with me and help organizations do effective data science!
If you want to help organisations get running with data science using R and Python, and you can comfortably speak to system administrators about their implementation of docker and kubernetes, come join our team. RStudio is hiring for a Solutions Engineer to act as a technical account manager. The role is advertised in the USA, but you can work anywhere if you have sufficient overlap with US time zones. https://lnkd.in/d8f9eU3i
