Did you know that the discovery and resulting purchase of the Voisey’s Bay Deposit by INCO remains one of the most significant transactions in Canadian mining history coming in at 4.3 billion dollars in 1996. What started as an open pit mining operation has now shifted to underground mining with proven and probable reserves for underground mining operations in the Reid Brook & Eastern Deeps zones of 23.6Mt grading 2.17% nickel, 0.91% copper, 0.14% cobalt (US-SEC). Throughout the conference we were able to showcase the wholesale revision of Llahuin’s growing Copper-Gold deposits and its potential scale for a long-life open pit and higher grade underground mining (in Chile).” 🗣 Company Chairman Mark Stowell speaking after the completion of the latest Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference. IRMA's Standard for Responsible Mining increasing opportunity for industrial peace: A panel discussion at #InvestingInAfricanMiningIndaba hosted by the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (#IRMA) highlighted the role IRMA's Standard for Responsible Mining is playing in increasing the opportunity for industrial peace in the mining sector. The panellists highlighted that it serves as a model to facilitate transparent and open engagement and provides a channel for meaningful dialogue on current challenges. It also empowers all stakeholders to be aware of a mine site's performance and to have a voice in the assessment process. The inclusive approach that underpins IRMA is a major differentiator from other mining standards. Throughout the 3 year journey we as #ResilienceEnvironmentalAdvice have been on assisting Anglo American Platinum at 4 mine sites in South Africa and Zimbabwe in preparation for independent, third party IRMA assessments, we can attest to these benefits of IRMA and associated meaningful and ongoing improvements across the ESG spectrum.

45,000 tonnes of contained copper in Tartana resource estimate to 130m depth under current mining lease tenure. The Tartana copper MRE includes near surface drill intervals of 24.5m @ 1.50% Cu, 27.8m @ 1.75% Cu and 24.4m @ 2.19% Cu. The steeply dipping mineralised zone remains open at depth with drilling in 2021 intercepting massive sulphide mineralisation over 300m below the base of the current resource estimate envelope. A program of planned deeper drilling has been designed targetting mineralised extensions below 130m depth, aiming to increase this existing Tartana copper mineral resource estimate. #copper #resource #mining #queensland #chillagoe #r3d
