Insights from Mercer's Global survey : Global Talent Trends 2024 Mercer recently conducted a survey in which 12,200+ C-suite executives, HR leaders, employees, and investors participated across various countries globally. 1๏ธโฃ One-third (32%) of executives believe #AI will add the most value in their organization by amplifying intelligence to enable higher quality work. 2๏ธโฃ 98% of organizations are planning work design changes in 2024, with increased #productivity as the main driver. 3๏ธโฃ 53% of executives project that #AI and #automation will bring a 10-30% productivity boost to their organization over the next three years, and an additional 40% see an even greater upside. Estimates suggest that AI could add trillions of dollars to the global economy. 4๏ธโฃ The dominant model is #onsite full-time (38% of workers), followed by 27% in a 50/50 hybrid model, and 10% remote full-time. Interestingly, only 22% of organizations are expanding their "flexible working" options to better attract top talent, reflecting a shift in employee preferences for โtogether time.โ 5๏ธโฃ Build over Buy : The talent crunch is requiring HR to take a โbuild from withinโ approach, rather than relying on the โbuyโ strategy most popular over the last five years.
