🙌 What a perfect balance between insightful and entertaining! 🙌 Last Tuesday, the ICC Arbitration YAAF hosted a “Breakfast with Claudia Salomon”. This event was an incredible opportunity to hear directly from Claudia Salomon about the ICC's vision and the future of arbitration. She generously shared her experiences and offered valuable tips. Here are some of my 🔑 takeaways: 💡 Future 🚀 the current cases reflect business deals made 2-5 years ago. An appeal to those interested in the practice of arbitration particularly from Namibia to participate in training such as this. The practice of arbitration is notably absent in jurisdictions such as Namibia, which is more focused on litigation in courts. NamPower and many other institutions, have however, included in its commercial contracts that alternative dispute resolution processes should first be followed in any dispute between contracting parties - it is not lost on me, that I type this as I am in an arbitration. As a final point I met Madam Adekoya and what a power house in the field of arbitral practice. If you can join the training, do so.
