One of the most significant hurdles is ensuring equal access to education and skills development, particularly in the tech field. Throughout history, women have been underrepresented in #STEM fields, and this trend persists today. To address this challenge effectively, we need to take concrete steps to promote and facilitate women's access to education and training in technology. This includes implementing programs focused on education and mentorship, designed to encourage girls and women to explore STEM fields and provide support and guidance along their educational journeys. We must also work to eliminate gender stereotypes associated with STEM fields, fostering the belief that women can excel and succeed in these domains just as well as men. Creating an inclusive and equal environment within educational institutions and organizations is crucial, ensuring that women feel supported and encouraged to pursue their passions in technology without fear of discrimination or marginalization. Additionally, promoting female role models in the tech industry can inspire and empower other women and girls to pursue careers in this field. As someone deeply committed to advancing digital transformation in my region and beyond, I believe it's crucial to leverage my networks and influence to promote initiatives that foster inclusivity and equality for women in technology. By championing these efforts, we can work towards creating a more equitable and diverse tech industry where women can thrive and make significant contributions." To the women breaking barriers, lighting the torch, and paving a path for other women, we appreciate you today. Today's International Women's Day theme is, #InspireInclusion. Inclusion in this sense suggests that 'no woman should be left behind.' We are grateful to every female tech leader, founder, co-founder, and other varying capacities they serve for their role in ensuring that women are seen, their voices are heard, and that women get a seat at the table. Women are humans too, and the celebration of IWD is a global activism against discrimination of women, and a means to encourage equity.
