Today I celebrate twenty years at Belkin.
Early 2004, after being laid off, I took a temporary job in the IT dept at Belkin. In late April, my previous company called me back. I went to my manager, James McCarthy, who asked for 24 hours. The next morning, Monica Iriarte presented me with an offer letter and the following Monday, May 3rd, I officially became a true “Belkin Bulldog”
Half way thru the two decades, with the support and encouragement of Deanna Johnston James Alvarez Erika Lieser Meghan Glidden & Lisa McCartie MCIPPdip, MBCS, I made the jump to the HR dept and HRIS.
I’m often asked why I’ve stayed at Belkin for 20 years, and that’s an easy answer, I’ve worked with the absolute best-amazing coworkers. Not enough electronic ink to list everyone so I’ll just say, from Chet Pipkin on down, I’m proud to have worked with all of you and blessed to say I have friends around the globe.
Here’s where I’m supposed to end with “and looking forward to the next twenty years at Belkin”. “20 more” might be few more too many. (we still haven’t been to all 63 US National Parks or seen the Los Angeles Dodgers play in all 30 MLB stadiums). So while I might not be follow up posting in 2044, I can’t wait to tackle whatever is next with the help of the greatest teammates one could ask for.
