Joining the select ranks of the United States Marines corps requires a unique combination of physical prowess, mental fortitude, and unwavering dedication to serving our great nation. The statistics are clear: joining the US Marine Corps is a rare and exceptional career path for Americans. While approximately 35,000 new recruits join the organization per year, accounting for roughly .01% of all Americans, the vast majority – some 324,965,000 individuals or 99.98% – opt not to pursue service with the military branch of the United States Marine Corps. The United States Marine Corps has significantly influenced my life and career, instilling leadership traits that have propelled me towards success. The intangible quality of leadership is rooted in various factors including inherent control, self-confidence, expert knowledge, initiative, loyalty, pride, and a sense of responsibility. The acronym JJDIDTIEBUCKLE (pronounced 'JJ did tie buckle') represents the 14 leadership traits drilled into every Marine, shaping them into capable leaders. As a leader and Marine, I prioritize honesty, bravery, wisdom, and strategic decision-making to effectively guide and inspire those around me. Semper Fidelis.

The transformation is real and lifelong. The mindset of a Marine is a powerful thing and an asset to any organization.

What a great messsage. Society cycles between periods of service and sacrifice for the common good and self-focused individualism, the cycling between the two is influenced by awareness of issues, empathy, leadership, and collective identity. The risk of self-focus includes eroding social cohesion, neglecting the vulnerable, isolation, and prioritizing short-term gains over long-term well-being. A balanced approach is crucial for a healthy society, allowing individuals to pursue personal goals while contributing to the broader community. We will not be ready to preserve the freedoms this nation enjoys if we are not ready to sacrifice to serve the nation and its people through hard work and commitment to something greater than ourselves. The fight is coming… the strength of this nation at risk… who will answer the call?

Anzac Day 🌟 1: REMEMBER THE DAY. 🌺 This isn't just any ordinary day—respect the solemnity. Don't turn up to the Dawn service dressed like you're hitting the club, and keep attire respectful. It's about honoring those who served, not about us. 2: Stick together with your mates. 🤝 No one should be left alone on such an emotional day. Don't let a digger sit alone in a gutter—offer support and companionship. 3: Buy an old Digger a beer. 🍻 Listen to their stories and share some laughs. It means the world to them, and it might make their whole week. 4: Unity matters. 🇦🇺 Whether Army, Air Force, Navy, or any other background, we're all on the same team. Don't let differences divide us—Anzac Day is about honoring them all. 5: Enjoy the day respectfully. 🎉 Attend the Dawn Service, relish a Gunfire Breakfast, play two up, and reconnect with old mates. Embrace our traditions, old and new, but always with reverence for those who sacrificed for us. Lest We Forget. 🌹

Taking on the Murph, I recently embarked on something completely new for me the Murph. Named in honor of Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy, this challenge pushes physical limits and mental toughness to a whole new level. The Murph consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, followed by another 1-mile run, all while wearing a weighted vest. It's not just about physical endurance; it's about honoring sacrifice and embracing resilience. Why did I take it on? Although the character MAJ Payne is a fictitious USMC officer suited with inequalities requiring him to embrace teaching as a fortitude. Enabling reality with fiction warrants a likeness to reality. All officers are required to have a Bachelors degree to be an officer unless circumstances put that Soldier in the Audie Murphy promotion scenario. Damon Wayans researched military service members, incorporated REAL tactics and procedures utilized by officers and enlisted service members of varied branches to bring MAJ Payne alive; alive to teach values, traditions and equity to a generation of individualism type of thinkers. That aspect of teaching served as a catalyst for entertainment but… it also warranted lessons of humanity. Everything read does not constitute the lesson; action applied with the material reading, construes the reality of the lesson.

Maya Angelou said I quote ⭐"How important it is for us to recognise and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!"⭐ ⭐We, as the persevering individuals we can be or are, only allows us to stay positive and remain focused on all possibilities always securing our navigation of the challenges we face in life with grace⭐. ⭐The way we all respond to life is ninety percent greater in comparison to the ten percent of what actually happens to us in life, still by encountering defeats and triumphs we come to find out who we truly are and what we can rise from⭐. ⭐If knowing one thing about the mentality of the honorable soldiers who have experienced triumphs and defeats, is that we can understand the perseverance and continuous drive to reach their goals and improve their skills, Their performance will always be through persistent effort⭐. ⭐It is a form of purposefulness and goal-orientation for a soldier, something they know that requires long-term commitment and discipline, this is fueled by their passion and stick-to-itiveness⭐. 🙏🏼I'll end this with a BIG THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SERVICE, SECURITY AND GLOBAL PROTECTION. 🇺🇲HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY🇺🇲

In ESEL, we believe preparing the veteran for military transition requires understanding transition as a whole. It isn’t “just” about switching jobs. It’s about being concerned about leaving a brotherhood….a comradrie. Ya know, many people go their entire life without this kind of friendship…these kinds of bonds. And how sad for them to never know the term “battle buddy”. My encouragement to every transitioning veteran is this… Don’t consider leaving the military as a loss. More so, consider it through a heart of gratitude for those connections, those experiences, those friendships. Be proud you opted to serve! You added a “flavor” in your life that many will never know! Embrace the privilage of meeting the people you met, and the experiences you had through their friendship, their humor, their leadership, and their courage. Embrace those relationships.
