Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A., a Sarasota, Florida law firm (www.dglawyers.com), is currently seeking a Full-time Bookkeeper for immediate hire.
The ideal candidate will be personable, well-spoken, and have a polished professional demeanor. Must have at least two years of experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with a law or other professional services firm. This position is highly visible and requires excellent communications skills with all members of the firm. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word and intermediate or better knowledge of Excel. Experience with a time and billing-based accounting software package, such as Tabs, is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include processing of accounts payable, opening matters, conflict checks, cost allocations, posting of journal entries, bank reconciliations, trust accounting, Credit Card reconciliation, productivity reporting and possibly payroll. Other duties will be assigned as needed. This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) position. Hours are 8:30AM to 4:30PM M-F with a ½ hour lunch.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Sarasota and be able to start employment within three weeks of acceptance of an offer. Candidates may be required to pass a background check prior to employment.
