Minister of State at the Department of Transport, James Lawless, today helped launch a report on Cork Airport’s economic impact which showed the airport contributed to the employment of more than 12,650 people and over €1 billion to the Irish economy in 2023 alone. Helping him launch the Cork Airport Economic Impact Study at the #airport were Ireland’s EU Commissioner Designate, Michael McGrath TD, and Tourism Ireland's Chief Executive, Alice Mansergh.

2wCycling is a nice idea, however, every hill in Westmeath is within 2 miles of where I live, or so it seems every time I venture out on my bicycle; only those who attempt the hill climbs on the Tour De France know my pain. Also, perhaps you could have a word with the route planners in Bus Eireann who, in their lack of wisdom, decided 2 years ago, to discontinue the route which serviced the town I live in. Way to go Bus Eireann! Getting people off public transport and back into their cars again.
