We love to showcase the amazing work our upfitting division does, but oftentimes we show the destination and skip the journey so to speak. Our Burbank crew was slated to build out two vehicles for Simi Valley Water. When we presented the first finished product, the customer was underwhelmed. Determined to exceed expectations, our team revamped the design, adding a Whelen WeCanX 2250 lightbar, a CenCom Core-C control system with WeCanX expansion module, and a Havis angled console for clean mounting of the Core-C and Motorola XTL control head. We also included a Blue Sea Systems distribution block to minimize wire clutter and enhance safety. The lighting system was programmed to the customer's specifications, ensuring every control had a feature and a visual indication of the active setting. The result? The customer was very impressed on the second presentation. Our Burbank upfit crew is now busy proceeding with the second vehicle build.
