On the DAT One network, there was a higher number of load posts compared to truck posts, resulting in slightly improved load-to-truck ratios across major trailer types. Flatbeds spot rates increased from March while Dry Vans remained the same and Reefers declined. I believe the Baltimore bridge tragedy was a major driver for Flatbed spot rate increase from last month due to low capacity availability in that region. +Would Shippers reluctance to onboard new Carriers play a role on the limited Capacity in the region? +Will GOV & DOT relaxing on HOS due to high traffic in the region and limited parking affect Capacity or Spot Rates? +Will major Carriers switch their focus to driver retention, benefits, and better pay since the GOV program to hire under 21 year old drivers is failing? #industrynews #industrytrends #flatbeds #dryvans #reefers #trucking ##transportation #specialized #baltimorebridge #logistics #heavyequipment #marketspotrates #truckdrivers #majorcarriers #3pls #freightbrokers #supplychain #logistics #ltl #ftl #freight #loads #truckparking #dataanalytics #truckstop #construction #constructionmaterials #foodandbeverage #produce #intermodal

The soft spot market continues to pose challenges for small carriers. Produce season is starting to create reefer demand in California. In the near-term, small fleets enjoyed a bit of operational relief thanks to lower diesel prices. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4aNf78i #DATTrendlines #TruckingIndustryTrends
