Question 1: What is your role at DAT and how do you feel your experience differs from other companies? 

I work as the Customer Support Manager, and a lot of the support roles I’ve had in the past weren’t always valued to the same degree that my role is valued here. DAT truly cares about both the customer vision and my opinion about how to best serve our customers. Anytime that there’s a potential impact to the customer experience, I’m sought out as an expert and as the voice of the customer. It’s really refreshing to see a company that truly lives its values of being a customer-focused company.”

Question 2: What drew you to DAT?

There were two things I was prioritizing in my search for a new company – culture and stability. Not only was I looking for a company with stable growth that can withstand economic challenges, but I also needed to belong to a place that celebrated me as an individual. The industry drives a meaningful impact that reaches each end of the globe.”

Question 3: What do you enjoy about working in the Customer Service department?

“We get to own processes and procedures to ensure customers have a great experience. Not only does this set the tone for customers but it also helps them understand our products and the ways it can make their company thrive. I love that I get to work with the carrier and the broker side of the house as it means that I truly get to interact with the full lifecycle of truckload freight.”

The culture is nurturing and collaborative. I feel as if my feedback and opinions matter. My personal and professional growth are a priority and I have many opportunities to travel and learn from our customers face-to-face!”

Question 6: Tell us about the work life balance? 

I have never had to sacrifice time with my family for this role. It’s not even a question. My PTO allows me the freedom to travel or just take a Friday off for a 3-day weekend, and my team fully supports my time-off so I can truly disconnect and unwind.”
