Just keep going - We had $5,000 in our bank account and owed my co-founder $5,000 when we hit profitability - We rented our apartment on AirBNB and built retaining walls to pay our salaries - We paid ourselves $1,600 a month for the first 3 years. My rent was $1,200. Car payment $300. - We lost access to our most important data source on a Tuesday. We had to rescind 9 job offers to new grads, lost other incredible team members, and flat lined revenue for 2 years. - There are 251 companies in the "influencer marketing platform" category on G2 - We had two acquisition offers pulled 1 week from final signing - We've lost hundreds of clients - One team member texted another team member, "We would crush it if just had a real CEO" - During our final fundraise before acquisition, 74 out of 77 investors rejected us - Every year for the last decade there is an article asking "is the influencer bubble popping?" - The CEO of my first company said, "That idea will be copied and dead within 24 months" Don't stop. Keep going.
