Investment Management Executive Recruiter (Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Family Office, Traditional Asset Manager Focus) andrea@thecardeagroup.com
It's 2:30pm on a Friday and just today FIVE separate C-suite individuals have expressed their concern about resumes being shared without their prior consent. It's disheartening to see candidates' trust violated in such a manner. I've been recruiting for 19 years and have never sent a resume of a candidate out without explicit consent. It's disappointing to hear that some executive recruiters are undermining this fundamental ethical principle, leading C-suite candidates to question the integrity of the recruitment process. #executiverecruiting #hedgefundrecruiting #privateequityrecruiting #ethicsmatter #confidentialitymatters
At least they are sharing resumes. You won’t send out a resume if the job states 8-10 years experience and the candidate has 25 years experience. That’s called discrimination and it is illegal.
That's terrible. It definitely makes us all look bad! :(
Crazy. Cardinal sin.
I couldn’t agree more. It’s shameful and even more so when such recruiters represent some of the biggest brands of HR firms. Very disappointing!

1wI once had my resume shared… without my consent… with my then-current boss. Yikes!
