Congratulations to Bega Group also known as Bega Cheese Limited in #Australia. Using the CHEP Life Cycle Assessment studies, we calculate that Bega Group has avoided the creation of 48,174 tonnes of carbon emissions equivalent to 72,279 trees planted and saving 34,214 tonnes of solid waste equivalent to 313,480 - 240 litre wheelie bins. This was achieved by sharing and reusing Timber Pallets and Reusable Plastic Containers (RPCs) supplied by CHEP Australia for the 12 months ending December 2023. CHEP Australia is proud to work closely with Bega Group and its suppliers to lower emissions, reduce waste and unlock efficiencies in the supply chain. When a business takes part in CHEP’s circular model, environmental savings are gained every time a pallet or container is shared and reused. Through our independently verified Life Cycle Assessments, CHEP can calculate the environmental savings generated by each of our customers when they partner in our share and reuse pooling network, forgoing single-use alternatives. Our Sustainability Certificates provide the data to show our customers’ individual contribution to the environment through savings across wood consumption, waste to landfill and carbon emission.
