For the past 34 years, the Rainville Awards have celebrated students who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills while maintaining a good academic record at The University of Rhode Island. This semester I had the honor of being nominated for a Rainville Student Leadership award in the Student Employee category. I also had the opportunity to serve on the selection committee for the Team Leadership Award. Learning about the accomplishments the student organizations have achieved was remarkable. URI provides endless opportunities to succeed and grow through hundreds of student- led organizations. Thank you Maureen McDermott and Lucas DeWitt for giving me this opportunity and always supporting me. Working at the Memorial Union throughout college has been such a positive experience. I’ve loved getting to know the student orgs and the wonderful people who make them up. Its always #gorhody
