Chief Strategy Officer / GTM Leader / Logistics Technology Evangelist / Customer Advocate / USAF Veteran / Life-long Networker
I occasionally get to witness the unbreakable bond that exists between the veteran community. Yesterday was one of those very moments. While on a flight home, I had the honor and privilege of being seated next to Army Sgt (Ret) Jason Smith. Jason and I both served on active-duty during the peak of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, which made our conversation at cruising altitude all the more special. While out on patrol in Afghanistan in July of 2012, Jason suffered a traumatic roadside bomb (IED) injury that would change the course of his entire life. Following a lengthy recovery, Jason decided to dedicate his professional life to supporting a non-profit organization called "Catch A Lift" Fund, which encourages disabled veterans to stay physically, mentally and emotionally fit. And folks, despite his post-combat demons, Jason is nothing short of remarkable - the personification of bravery, sacrifice and perseverance. With Veterans Day upon us, please consider supporting Jason and the CAL program. It's the least we can do for our nation's finest heroes. 🇺🇸 #veteransday2023

The Purple Heart medal has been a symbol of honor and recognition for those who have been wounded or killed in combat since its establishment by General George Washington in 1782. As we acknowledge National Purple Heart Day on August 7th, let it serve as a reminder of the cost of freedom and the enduring spirit of those who have faced the hardships of war. Their dedication and sacrifice remind us of the profound debt of gratitude we owe to all service members who have given their all for the sake of our country. As we commemorate this day, let us recommit ourselves to ensuring that the sacrifices made by our Purple Heart recipients are never forgotten. Their contributions to our nation's history will forever be etched in our hearts, and we must continue to support and care for our veterans as they transition back to civilian life. Catch A Lift serves many veterans with various accolades, including the Purple Heart. We take all of their services to heart as we remain steadfast in our mission to aid those whom the harsh realities of war have injured. #nationalpurpleheartday #calstrong #thecatchaliftfund #supportingveterans #veterangrants
