🛑 Ooof - Only managed 10 blog posts this year and we're basically halfway through 2024 (7 of these posts were in January alone 🙃 ). 🛠 Not optimal by any means - but running the blog from infra-to-app with all the integrated services in-between means a risk of not having time to fix things. 🕜 Enter "The Time-crunched Homelabber" - continuously learning but focusing on what is important first. ⚙ The blog is back online and i've got some fun topics to write about. Reposting for awareness: "The OpenTelemetry Collector offers a vendor-agnostic implementation on how to receive, process and export telemetry data. An unsafe decompression vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to crash the collector via excessive memory consumption. OTel Collector version 0.102.1 fixes this issue. It is also fixed in the confighttp module version 0.102.0 and configgrpc module version 0.102.1."

Chad and I competed in many ways in our early Corps days. Always willing to help and had the best attitude. Undoubtedly he was certainly the better man. I carry a reminder with me everyday to keep pushing and improving - as he certainly wouldn't be doing any less today.
