In 2023, I met the wildly inventive and infectious Mimi Munoz at SXSW. It was a moment for Asian creators. Everything Everywhere All At Once had just won the Oscar for Best Picture, Joy Ride was debuting at the festival, and Mimi was there celebrating Asian filmmakers and promoting her film, The Myth, with her ride or die,Titania Tran. Little did I know that our paths would continue to cross time and again, brought together by our shared mission to champion change through creativity and community.
