Bobbi Jo Sikora’s Post

Last week, Petco made the difficult decision to implement a significant number layoffs within the marketing and creative departments, and unfortunately, I found myself among those affected. While I understand that many industries, especially retail, have faced challenges in the current economic climate, I was surprised to be included in the list of impacted partners. Despite the circumstances, I am grateful for the valuable experiences and the wonderful individuals I have had the pleasure of working with at Petco. The support I have received has been truly remarkable and humbling. I am currently seeking new opportunities in CRM, Loyalty, Payments, GTM, and Marketing Strategy. Any leads, ideas, informal interviews, or referrals in these areas would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this transition. I aspire to work with a customer-focused company that values CRM and loyalty. I seek a role on the client or agency side where I can leverage my expertise and make a significant impact. I excel at transforming data into actionable insights and aligning overall strategy with omni-channel tactics to support it. I am skilled at building and creating high-performing teams and operate as an empathetic leader. Nothing is more fun than playing with the data! Thank you... #layoffs #retail #opentowork #CRMLoyalty You have to feel it to overcome it. ~The stress of losing a job is undeniable. Don’t ignore your own needs, it’s ok to have a  bad day, just don’t let them all be bad days. Focus on what you can control. Build a plan for your search, execute it. ~Create structure in your day. Open all lines of communication, follow up. Allow yourself to heal. ~Take advantage of the extra time you have. Prioritize yourself – eat healthy and workout. Learn a new skill or hobby. No excuses. Appreciate the support. Give back. ~Support your fellow job seekers. Listen. Offer guidance, support, and introductions. Check on them periodically.

All good people, especially talented ones like Bobbi Jo Sikora everything will turn out right. One door closes and another opens to a new, challenging and rewarding opportunity. Will continue to share with you my friend and be in touch as often as possible. Lots of companies are seeking leadership in the CRM/Loyalty space. Bobbi Jo Sikora, I feel so lucky that our paths crossed! Bobbi Jo is a seasoned Marketing leader that effectively balances the art and science of marketing to generate strong results. She is curious, analytical, and willing to tackle any challenge presented to her in pursuit of finding the best path forward. More importantly though, Bobbi Jo cares deeply about the happiness and development of her team members. Anyone would be lucky to have Bobbi Jo on their team!

I can relate to your situation. After working as a dedicated, mission-loving senior leader in a hospital system, giving 24/7 to my role, my position was eliminated in early 2021. After a short, intense job search, I landed an incredible position as CEO of an amazing, mission-lived organization focused on providing extraordinary medical care and service in the challenging emergency medicine space. Continue to know that your future will be bright even with a short unexpected pause.

Bobbi Jo is the best leader I have worked for. Her dedication to the customer parallels her dedication to her team - mentoring, leading with compassion and support, and truly guiding us to be the best CRM marketers. She is a true expert in customer lifecycle, has a knack for turning data into actionable insights, and can calmly solve the biggest challenges with efficiency and grace. Any organization would be truly lucky to have Bobbi Jo leading their customer lifecycle or loyalty program, and any team would be lucky to have her as their leader! Good luck in this next chapter Bobbi Jo!

I’m envious of the team you’ll lead next, they don’t know it, but it will be the best thing that ever happens to them and I know you’ll make the most of this time in between. Hope our paths cross IRL soon ❤️
