Taking Safety to the Next Level As part of Blue Bird's Next Level Safety announcement, a school bus crash test was performed at IMMI's premiere testing facility, CAPE, in Westfield, Indiana. The simulated crash test demonstrates the added safety Blue Bird buses provide passengers in the event of an accident when equipped with three-point seat belts and driver air bags, compared to the dangers passengers face without the added safety features. Watch the video to see the importance of making the safest vehicles on the road even safer for passengers, drivers, and everyone on the road.

I would like to know how many joules of energy is that head hitting the seat back in front of it with? Is that FMVSS 206 compliant? I'm sure you studied it, is there energy absorbing foam in the rear portion of the seat back?

Will the seatbelts have ding if not latched? Therefore, informing the bus driver? Just like our vehicles, although only the front passenger seats have that option. Also, will they have weight bearing sensors on the seats?

Curious to know how much damage the box truck sustained and whether the safety of that driver was impacted?
