As residents of Treaty 6 territory, we recognize our ongoing responsibilities to build and nurture relationships, promote understanding, and contribute to the economic development of Indigenous communities. Our primary goal is to collaborate closely with our partners, offering mentorship and access to apprenticeship programs, while fostering economic growth for a prosperous future for all stakeholders involved. We take great pride in representing Willow Cree Project Services and look forward to engaging with both current and new clients under this banner. #IndigenousPartnership

Our internship program provides students with engaging, meaningful, and impactful experiences to launch their careers. For Dylan, it’s a chance to continue a family legacy and develop his skills in a rapidly evolving field. When discussing how the Black & McDonald Internship has helped with his professional goals, Dylan mentioned: “One of my favourite parts of my role is the site visits. It is rewarding to see where all your work is being carried out while witnessing the magnitude and importance of safety in our line of work.” We look forward to supporting the next generation of industry leaders on their journey. #BlackAndMcDonaldInternship #NuclearIndustry #EnergySector #NuclearEngineering #STEMCareers #FutureLeaders

At Black & McDonald, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive mutual success. Our partnership with Acden, resulting in the formation of Acden Base Operators (ABO), is a shining example. ABO's expertise in airfield support and oil sands services led to a significant contract at the Suncor Firebag Airport in Alberta, where we are collaborating with the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation. This partnership underscores our commitment to fostering economic development within Indigenous communities. In the first quarter of 2024, Black & McDonald undertook a critical cooling tower replacement project on the 25th floor of the 609 Granville St building in Downtown Vancouver. Initially conceived as a crane-based operation, the project was reimagined due to urban constraints. The project took to the skies with an aerial lift strategy, deploying a helicopter for precision placement. Led by Operations Manager Dermot Hawe and Lead Foreman Steve Darby, the operation successfully executed over 30 lifts within a five-hour window, demonstrating our team’s commitment to innovative solutions and operational excellence.
