BS Mechanical Engineering (magna cum laude), BS Computer Science (magna cum laude) ex-Tesla, ex- Draper

Today was my last day at Draper and I think it is a great time to reflect on my experience. First, I'd like to thank all of my amazing coworkers for making my experience so rewarding. From sharing amazing ideas that helped me complete challenging projects to fascinating conversations about new technologies. I'd like to shout out Chris Tuozzolo, Jonathan Ung, Karl Twelker and Miles Coe for being amazing group leads and assigning interesting projects that had me looking forward to getting back to work every morning. Draper was the first large company I worked at and as a result, I had to learn many specific processes and policies for everything from procurement to security. Although, these were often frustrating to work around, I learned a lot about why they were necessary in the defense industry. Coming in with experience in mechanical, electrical and software engineering, I had the opportunity to work on a large range of software, hardware and interdisciplinary projects that will have a long term positive impact for my team. Over the 6 months I worked at Draper, I learned about accelerometers, software design, data processing, thermal analysis, CREO, GD&T and so much more. I was able to apply many of the concepts I learned in my classes from Thermodynamics to Object Oriented Design and even Physics 1. Seeing the direct impact of my work was extremely rewarding and I can't wait to see where I can apply my new skills next. #engineering #draper #mechanical #electrical #software
