Navigating endings and transitions well is one of the key jobs a leader has. I've written before that I love twilight. However, twilight is a signal that a day is coming to an end. I've noticed one transition people struggle with is when something they care about comes to an end. We just don't like endings much, saying goodbye to one place, or person, or people, and moving on. I think viewing these endings like twilight is the key. See the beauty in them in themselves. But also see this end as a transition, which is the space before a new beginning. A brand new day. What ending(s) are you facing? What transition is in front of you? What are you feeling about it? If it's got you stuck, reflect on the other side of this ending, through the transition, and see that this is actually a new beginning. It will change your mind-space, how you are feeling, and probably how you lead yourself and others through it. #leadership #change #teams #aworldbetterled #leadthroughanything
